1. Accepting these terms

By using our website, techylikethat.com (the “Site”), including reading our articles, filling out forms, or subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Techy Like That LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Our services

We help small businesses with website accessibility, websites and website care, tech support, workflow automation, AI chat and voice agents, messaging, content, and Content Credentials. Our current services and packages are described on our Services page, which replaces any older service descriptions.

The scope, price, and deliverables for any paid project are set out in a separate proposal or client agreement.

3. Blog comments

Comments are turned off for now. If we turn them on, these rules apply: keep comments respectful, on topic, and legal. No spam, hate speech, harassment, or self-promotion. We may moderate, edit, or remove any comment. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your comment on the Site, and you’re responsible for what you post.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and code samples, belongs to Techy Like That LLC or our licensors and is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark law. Please don’t copy, change, or reuse it commercially without our written permission.

For paid projects, you receive ownership of, or a lasting license to, the finished website or integration once it’s paid in full. Your project agreement spells out the details. We keep the rights to our own methods, templates, and pre-existing code.

5. Payments

How you pay depends on the kind of work:

• Fixed-price packages bought through a Stripe Payment Link are paid in full up front.
• Care and monitoring plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. You can cancel anytime. Cancelling stops your next renewal, and service continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for. If you cancel a yearly plan, we refund each full month you haven’t started, at your yearly price divided by 12. We may ask why you’re leaving, but answering is optional and never a condition of your refund.
• Custom projects: Secure your spot with a 25% deposit to begin. The rest is due as you approve each milestone: 25% on design approval, 25% on beta site testing, and 25% at launch, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Third-party costs: We set up and manage things like hosting, domains, email and paid plugins for you. Their costs are billed separately from our services, so you always see exactly what you’re paying for.

We work collaboratively, so your website or integration meets your goals before each payment comes due. The deposit is non-refundable because it covers planning, scheduling, and setup work that starts right away. All other sales are final unless your signed project agreement says otherwise.

Charges and invoices show Techy Like That LLC as the business you’re paying.

6. Disclaimers

• AI tools and results: AI-powered services, including chat and voice agents and automations, are provided “as is.” AI can make mistakes or give incomplete answers. Please don’t rely on our services or content for legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.
• Website accessibility: We audit and fix against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard most often used for ADA compliance on US websites, to help you work toward ADA compliance and lower your legal risk. We don’t provide compliance services for European or other non-US laws, such as the European Accessibility Act or EN 301 549. We make careful, professional efforts, but we can’t promise full compliance, complete accessibility or freedom from legal claims. Standards change, and third-party plugins, user content, and browsers can introduce new issues.
• General: The Site and our services come without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as stated in a signed project agreement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Techy Like That LLC isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim under these Terms won’t exceed what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you haven’t paid us anything.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold Techy Like That LLC harmless from claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorney fees) that come from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Florida law. Any legal action will be brought only in the state or federal courts in Brevard County, Florida, and you agree to those courts’ jurisdiction.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. Using the Site after an update means you accept it.
