Ongoing Website Care Plan

Kept running smoothly, day after day.

Just like elevators keep running smoothly because they’re inspected and serviced on a schedule, your website needs the same steady care. Nothing online is “build it and forget it,” so we handle the checks, updates and fixes that keep yours working well.

From $83/month ongoing

Is this you?

If any of these sound familiar, ongoing care takes them off your plate.

  • Updates keep piling up.

You see the update warnings but don’t want to break anything.

  • Small changes take forever.

Fixing a phone number or adding a page keeps slipping down the list.

  • You’re not sure it’s safe.

You don’t know if your backups work or if anyone is watching for problems.

What we handle

One plan covers everything technical about running your website, so you don’t have to figure out DNS records, plugin updates or backups yourself.

  • Keep it running

    • Updates to WordPress, your theme and plugins, tested before they go live
    • Daily backups that we check can be restored, and restoring your site if something breaks
    • Uptime checks, so we can step in if your site goes down, plus security checks and cleanup if there’s a problem
    • Choosing and setting up hosting that fits your site
    • Domain, DNS and nameserver setup, moves and fixes, so your site and email point to the right place
    • Moving your site to a new host or a new domain, including redirects, so visitors and search engines can still find every page
    • Business email on your own domain, including the records that help your messages reach inboxes, and making sure form emails arrive
    • SSL certificates, safe logins, spam protection and contact form fixes
  • Keep it improving

    • Accessibility fixes, like alt text for your images and captions for your videos
    • SEO fixes: clean, proper code, page titles and descriptions, and the other basics Google says it looks at
    • Structured data (schema markup) where it fits, so Google and AI tools can understand your business, services and hours
    • Image and video files renamed to say what they show, which helps Google list them in image and video search
    • Fixes for anything broken or not working right, like links, error pages, layout glitches or features that stopped working
  • Keep it growing

    • Text, photo and page changes, and new pages
    • Installing and setting up new plugins or tools you want
    • Light integrations like booking, payments, newsletter or customer list (CRM) tools
    • Usability and A/B testing with tools like Hotjar or PostHog, to see how people use your site and what to improve
    • Speed and Core Web Vitals work, aiming for a site that passes Google’s Core Web Vitals, which Google uses as part of its page experience signals
    • Checks that your site works well on phones and tablets

Hosting, domain, email, paid plugins and testing tools are billed to you directly by those companies. We set them up and look after them for you.

Why ongoing care matters

Like an elevator, an airplane or a car, a website needs regular upkeep to stay safe and useful.

  • Google tracks real updates

    Line
Google’s internal documents, leaked in 2024, show it keeps track of when each page was last meaningfully updated. We make real improvements, not fake date changes, so your site stays genuinely current.
  • Fast, secure and easy on a phone

    Line
Google says it looks at whether a site is fast, secure and works well on a phone. Regular upkeep is how we keep yours that way.
  • Safe and easy to find

    Line
Out-of-date plugins are a common way sites get hacked, and Google may warn searchers away from a hacked site. Keeping things updated helps keep your site safe and easy to find.

Where spare time goes

Your priorities come first. Otherwise, we usually work in this order:

  • Fix anything broken, like forms, links or error pages.
  • Make pages load faster with smaller images, caching and quicker delivery. Google says it looks at speed.
  • Fix problems on phones and anything that makes your site hard to use.
  • Fix small accessibility issues, like low contrast, missing labels or buttons you can’t reach with a keyboard.
  • Make the words and buttons on your key pages clearer.
  • Cover SEO basics like page titles, descriptions and links between your pages.
  • Run small usability tests, and a small A/B test when time allows.

Your hours can cover small accessibility fixes too. If accessibility is your main goal, the Ongoing Accessibility Care Plan focuses on it fully. It includes a record of our work, a statement page and a badge. You can have both plans at once, and the bundle discount applies.

Common questions

Can I choose what you work on?

Yes. Tell us your priorities anytime, and we’ll work on those first.

Will this help my Google rankings?

Google says it looks at speed, security, how well a site works on phones, and whether content stays helpful and up to date. We work on these every month, so your site keeps getting better at the things Google cares about. Nobody can control Google’s rankings, but we can keep improving everything that’s in our control.

Do updates and backups use my hours?

Yes. All work uses your hours, and every task is logged so you can see where the time went.

What if I need more time?

Move up a plan, or buy extra hours at $100 each. We always estimate first.

Who pays for hosting and plugins?

You pay those companies directly. We handle the setup and upkeep.

Do I need to deal with DNS, email records or schema myself?

No, we handle it. Domain and nameserver changes, email records, hosting setup, schema markup and the other technical details are all part of your plan’s hours. You tell us what you want, and we take care of how it gets done. Third-party costs like hosting and your domain are still billed to you by those companies.

Will testing bring more sales?

Testing is how a good website keeps getting better. We watch how people actually use your pages, then make small, steady improvements, like clearer headlines, easier buttons and simpler forms. Over time, those changes can add up to pages that are easier to understand, more clicks on what matters, longer visits and more people taking the next step, like calling or booking with you. No one can honestly promise a specific result, but steady testing means every change is based on what your visitors actually do, not guesswork.

Can I have the Ongoing Website Care Plan and the Ongoing Accessibility Care Plan together?

Yes. Each plan’s hours go to its own focus, and having both gets you 10% off.
