We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, we test every page, and we fix barriers as soon as we find them. If something gets in your way, tell us.

Our commitment

Techy Like That LLC is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is a core part of what we do for our clients, and we hold our own site to the same standard.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set out how to make websites more accessible for people with disabilities.

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time project, and we review the site regularly to find and fix barriers.

For client work, we audit and fix against WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard most often used for ADA compliance on US websites, to help clients work toward ADA compliance and lower their legal risk. We don’t provide compliance services for European or other non-US laws, such as the European Accessibility Act or EN 301 549.

What we do

  • Test every page with automated accessibility checks (axe) before it goes live.
  • Check every page by keyboard, including visible focus outlines.
  • Use clear headings and labels, and text contrast of at least 4.5:1.
  • Write meaningful alt text for images, and hide purely decorative graphics from screen readers.
  • Turn off motion for visitors who choose reduced motion in their settings.
  • Fix reported barriers as part of our regular site maintenance.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site come from third-party services that we don’t fully control:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check on our forms.
  • Stripe checkout, when you pay through a Payment Link.
  • Embedded content from other platforms, if we add it.

We choose these tools with accessibility in mind and review them periodically. If one of them gets in your way, contact us and we’ll help you another way, such as by phone or email.
